Hello Parents!
Today the students started off
with Language. They worked on a Memory Book, where they had to write about
their most memorable moment in Grade 5. After that, we moved on to Math, and
the students used protractors to work on their Lesson #5 work, as well as their
Lesson #6 work.
After recess, we began working on
our IB Portfolios, and students began cleaning up their things. After, I took
the students outside for Gym, and then we continued working on our IB
Portfolios when we got back to class.
After second break, we had a
rehearsal for the Promotion Ceremony, and then we discussed appropriate attire.
Students are encouraged to dress up a bit, as they will be accepting their certificate,
and possibly an academic excellence award.** Just a reminder, this ceremony
will begin at 9am, so students MUST be on time. ** After this discussion, the
students got ready to go home.
Just a few
important notes before I go:
1. Tomorrow
is the Grade 3 to 5 Promotion Ceremony, as well as the Grade
6 Graduation. The ceremony will take place at 9am and should be completed
by 10:30am. Parents and family members are welcome to attend! Students are
encouraged to dress smart casual.
2. Unpaid
aftercare fees were due YESTERDAY. If you have an unpaid balance, your child’s report card
will be withheld until payment is received.
3. Thursday, June 15th
will be jersey/ sports clothes day!
4. The last day of school will
be on Friday, June 16th!
Students should wear their house colours
on this day! Report cards will be sent home at the end of the day. We will be
having an, “End of the Year” classroom party in the morning of this day too!
Please feel free to send any NUT-FREE treats that the students can indulge in!
5. Due to the amount of lost
items, the school is promoting iron-on name labels! They cost $5.00 for 15
labels- I can provide the order form, if you are interested!
That pretty much sums it up for today. I hope everyone has a
wonderful night! Only 3 days of school left until Summer Break!!
