Hello Parents!

Today the students started off their morning with UOI! They used the beginning of the period to complete any last minute touches, and then we began our presentations. This continued right until lunch time, and then we picked up where we left off after lunch too.

Once all presentations were done, the students filled out their report card comments, and then they had a bit of time to complete their math homework. We then took up the homework, and then got ready to second break.

After, the students had French, and then they filled out their agendas when they got back to class. I then introduced their math lesson (unit 3, lesson #4- Naming and Sorting Polygons by Angles), and we went through some examples on the whiteboard. Following that, the students packed up and got ready to go home.

Just a few important notes before I go:
1.       Coding: Complete your KWL chart, and whatever else is incomplete in your UOI duotang.
2.       Math: Unit 3, Lesson #4- workbook, P#40-41.
3.       Any unpaid aftercare fees are due by MONDAY, JUNE 12th. If these fees are unpaid, your child’s report card will be withheld until payment is received.
4.       We at SJA have had a wonderful year with your children, but it is time to send them off to the next grade. Our PYP promotion and graduation ceremonies are taking place next week. Students are asked to dress smart casual on these days. The ceremonies will take place over two days. The JK to Grade 2 promotion ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 13th. The Grade 3 to 5 promotion ceremony and Grade 6 graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 14th. Both ceremonies begin at 9 am and should be completed by 10:30 am. Parents and families are invited to attend. We look forward to seeing you then.
5.       Thursday, June 15th will be jersey/ sports clothes day!
6.       The last day of school will be on Friday, June 16th! Students should wear their house colours on this day! Report cards will be sent home at the end of the day. We will be having an, “End of the Year” classroom party in the morning of this day too! Please feel free to send any NUT-FREE treats that the students can indulge in!
7.       Due to the amount of lost items, the school is promoting iron-on name labels! They cost $5.00 for 15 labels- I can provide the order form, if you are interested!

That pretty much sums it up for today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Only 5 days of school left until Summer Break!!
